Named after a suburb in Boston, Longwood is a city in Seminole County, approximately 20 miles from downtown Orlando. The area once served as the home of various coastal tribes, before it was reached by settlers during the 1850s.
Longwood was officially incorporated as a city in 1932, and is currently home to a population of more than 13,000.
